A programmer for over 30 years, he co-founded Montana Code School and continues to help teach there, especially with Mob Programming. He is co-author of The OpenSpace Agility Handbook, and co-authored software patent 6108698.  For many years, he has cultivated culture change through social technologies including The Core Protocols, Open Space Technology, Co-Active Coaching, and applying agile approaches to non-technical issues for clients like SAP, Intuit, Capital One, MIT's Medicine Hackathons, the University of Montana, Oregon State University, the Agile Coaching Institute, and more. He sits on board of the Open Space Institute and is founder & Executive Director of Montana Agile Culture House which facilitates culture change towards agility in the state of Montana.

Laura M. Powers is living proof that you never quite know where your next career move may take you.  Educated as a mechanical engineer - she has been involved in the design of aircraft engines, diapers and electric cars, as well as software systems at Hewlett Packard, and eBay.  These days, you’ll find Laura “talking for a living” – training & coaching high tech teams to communicate and collaborate as they take their Agile game to the next level.  
Laura holds a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, and is a Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Certified Trainer of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Certified Trainer of Training from the Back of the Room, and a LEGO® Serious Play® facilitator.


I am a social monkey who experiments on groups to find how we can best connect, support, and serve each other to create great things. My primary tools are Authentic Relating and Circling, although I'm not above throwing some acroyoga or dance into the mix. I teach emotional and social intelligence to communities across the world.

Currently bringing agile beyond engineering at Vistaprint, David Grabel is a passionate enterprise agile coach. He has introduced Scrum, Kanban, XP, and SAFe to organizations of sizes varying from single team startups to large organizations with over 500 teams. Previous clients include PayPal, Bose, and Trizetto. He helped develop a process for integrating Lean UX design with Scrum delivery teams that was rolled out to 15 Lean UX teams supporting over 100 delivery teams around the world. He is certified as CSM, CSP & SPC and is studying at the Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership.

Associate Creative Director, Vistaprint

Shawn Peters is a career creative who has written for television, magazines, newspapers and the web, as well as creating marketing and advertising concepts for networks and brands like HBO, Staples, ESPN and Bud Light. He is currently an associate creative director at Vistaprint, working with the marketing team to blend Agile principals and improvisational techniques into the brainstorming and creative processes.

Amina co-founded Matrix Leadership in 1990 and is currently the Director and a Lead Trainer, Facilitator, Consultant and Coach. She has been facilitating groups and trainings in cities throughout the U.S. and Europe for 30 years. Her formal background includes training from the National Training Laboratories for the Behavioral Sciences, as well as an M.S. in counseling and teaching psychology at the University of Missouri. For four years she was the director of the Groups and Outreach Programs in Interpersonal and Group Communication at the University of Missouri Counseling Center. She was a trainer for the Hakomi Institute for Body-Centered Psychotherapy for 12 years. She was also a co-owner and practitioner at Wellspring, Partners in Health (a holistic community medical clinic) for 15 years.

Tom Egan is an Advanced Practitioner, skilled with facilitating group intelligence, self-awareness, and creativity.  His own spiritual journey has allowed many unique gifts to arise in service to individuals and groups.  Tom is passionate about making the complicated simple and loves to create learning environments that are catalytic, engaging, and fun. Tom has a Masters in Counseling and specializes in group process.  He spent 10 years in corporate America before spending 4 years as Executive Director of a non-profit helping cancer survivors move on from the trauma of their illness, and now the last 4 years working for a Michigan University as Director of Development Alumni Relations.  Tom enjoys the beach, kiteboarding, and the outdoors.

Senior Scrum Master

Kim is a customer-focused agile marketer, manager, and organizational change junkie. Kim is a communications expert, master facilitator, and musician using agile methods to coach marketing and sales teams, development teams, rock bands, and the occasional significant other. Laser-focused on startups and small to mid-size businesses, she is currently focused on coaching scrum teams at Jibo, a Boston-based robotics startup making the world’s first social robot for the home.
